Slip, Slop and Slide - The intensity of the summer rays take a tough toll on our skin and eyes. Minimize exposure to UV rays between 10 am to 4 pm. Slip on some light coloured clothing that will reflect the sun rays and keep your cool through the day. Slop on a generous amount of sunscreen lotion with high SPF that will protect your skin from the harmful UV rays. And for those of you who are gearing up for a beach vacation, apply sunscreen every 2-3 hours for optimum effect. Slide on a pair of UV protective goggles whenever you are going out to protect your eyes from the blazing rays of the sun.

Eat Healthy - The sun is beating you down, but you don't beat down your digestive system. Go for light-on-the-stomach but filling foods this summer. Avoid the chips and fries that are full of saturated fats. Instead opt for healthy snacks like some veggie sticks with a hummus dip, a green sandwich, yogurt, a bowl of fruit salad, or sip on some freshly brewed juice. And ice-creams? Yes, it is impossible to resist ice-creams during summer. So a healthier option would be to choose a fruit ice-cream or make your own ice-cream at home with fruits of your choice.

Summer Diet

Exercise - Summer times are inherently lethargic and it gets almost impossible to workout in this heat. Why not opt for some fun cooling exercises like swimming or water workout? Water workouts sound fun but they are hardly as easy as it sounds. These are high-intensity workouts working a boatload on your muscles thus burning oodles of calories. Get in great shape for your upcoming beach vacation.
